ブランド名は、古典ラテン語で「緑になる砂漠」を意味します。
その名前には、「枯れていく農地に、緑を取り戻していかなければならない」という想いが込められています。
コットン栽培における農薬による土壌汚染や、栽培に関わる人々の健康被害を少しでも減らしたいという願いから、2009年にこのブランドは始まりました。
今の時代、ものは大量に作られ、簡単に捨てられてしまいます。
だからこそ私たちは、「長く大切にしたくなる服」「つくること自体に意味がある服」を届けたいと考えています。
素材には、オーガニックコットンやリサイクル素材など、環境にやさしいものを選び、
生産工程では、素材選定から縫製に至るまで、無駄のない設計と丁寧なものづくりを大切にしています。
デザインはシンプルに。毎日着ても飽きがこず、年齢や流行に左右されません。
